We are seeking compelling stories about issues that directly impact the daily lives of residents in Fulton County and the state.
At Fulton County Speaks, we are committed to empowering citizens with knowledge so they can join us in taking meaningful action.
This is YOUR VOICE. You don’t have to be a professional writer to use it.
Here are Some Suggestions and Guidelines
- Please review our website, especially the ‘Who We Are’ Page and the Initiatives section.
- Pick a topic you are passionate about, do any needed research, and start writing! (500 words or more)
- If you attend a community event, take photos, take notes, and write about what you observed.
- Be original and mindful of your audience. (Avoid hate, rhetoric, or plagiarism.)
Email your article, sources of your research, and photos to fultoncountyspeaks@proton.me with the word “article” in the subject bar.
Let us know if you want to be noted as the author or be anonymous as the writer.
Someone from the editorial team will get back with you.

If you feel rusty or want to improve your skills, email us, and we will send you some simple tips to help make your content reader-friendly.
If there is an influential community leader or candidate that needs to be written about, let us know. We can help you with the interview questions or interview the person ourselves.
If you have something to say, but don’t feel like writing, let us know, and we will interview you and write the story.
Editors’ Role
We are committed to making Fultoncountyspeaks.com the voice of our community. We balance this commitment with the determination to keep the website readable, relevant, and free from content that could harm the site – and thus hinder our voice.
Therefore, we might have editorial suggestions on some articles. If you are going to be named as the author any suggested edits will be sent to you for approval before publication.
We all share the same goal: freedom and the determination to maintain it.
It’s a team effort.
Whenever the people are well informed, they can be trusted with their own government; that whenever things get so far wrong as to attract their notice, they may be relied on to set them to rights. Thomas Jefferson
